In the first quarter of 2006, two of Kuwait's most successful automotive businesses, Al Mulla Group and Behbehani Jeep Motors Company, reached an agreement under which a new company was established – this merged the operation of sales and service for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles in Kuwait under one roof.
Thus Al Mulla & Behbehani Motor Company (MBMC) was formed. The strategy behind the merger was to create an integrated automotive company that would strongly compete in the Kuwaiti market, and combine the service excellence of these two outstanding companies.
The unification of sales and service under one roof also created the opportunity to increase market share as well as providing added value to customers, both individuals and companies, by enhancing overall service levels and offering a wider vehicle range.
The merger saw people from two different organizations joining together and blending their ideas, views and personalities in order to create a dynamic, successful working environment with a passionate commitment to customer service running through all levels of the company.
After completing a year of operation, MBMC has captured the attention of the Kuwaiti Automotive market, and the immediate success of the merger is demonstrated by the 50% year on year increase in sales of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles that was achieved in Kuwait - a remarkable performance in a highly competitive market environment, especially considering that the Kuwaiti new vehicle retail market only grew by 8% overall.
MBMC has successfully introduced numerous new initiatives in order to be competitive in the Kuwaiti market – these include the successful formation of a new Fleet & Government Sales Department to handle the ever growing demand for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles coming from the fleet sector, and the strengthening of the Service Department with the appointment of specialized full time Service Trainers to ensure that every Service Technician is fully up to date on product knowledge and service techniques.
The Fleet & Government Department has achieved massive growth, mainly due to the introduction of exciting new vehicles that immediately gained huge popularity within the fleet sector due to their exceptional design and superb performance plus the genuine value for money that they represent.
Another new initiative, MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price), has been introduced to ensure that all customers across the region are guaranteed a fair deal. MSRP not only allows consistent pricing, it also safeguards the resale value of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles, protecting the customers’ investment.
To meet the increased demand generated in the Kuwait market, MBMC is also further expanding its network of facilities and service centres in 2007 to offer customers an easily accessible, full range of one stop sales, service and parts operations.
MBMC is committing to massive investments to further strengthen customer loyalty through the establishment of a full time Customer Relationship Management Department, which includes a fully-fledged call centre.
Strongly supported by DaimlerChrysler Middle East, MBMC will ensure that front line staff receives the right training to enable them to deliver international levels of customer service to customers in a totally professional manner and with absolute consideration to their requirements.
Looking ahead, MBMC is geared up for an unparalleled number of new vehicle introductions, which will see the launch of several all-new Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge models that will further expand the product range and offer even more choice to customers in Kuwait.
